ঘাটের সিঁড়িতে দু'জন মানুষ পাশাপাশি বসে আছে। দুইজন একই ব্যক্তি-ছোটকর্তা লাবুস । এতে কোনো ভুল নাই । হাদিস চোখ বন্ধ করে তিনবার বলল, “আল্লাহু শাফি! আল্লাহু কাফি'। জিন-ভূতের ব্যাপার হলে এখন চোখ মেললে কিছু দেখবে না। হাদিস চোখ মেলল । এখনো দুজনকে পরিষ্কার দেখা যাচ্ছে। চাঁদের আলোয় দুজনেরই ছায়া পড়েছে ঘাটে। সেই ছায়াও দেখা যাচ্ছে।
Such an incredibly complex story! I had to buy it because there was a waiting list of 30+ at the local library for this book. Thrilled that I made the purchase
I read this book shortly after I got it and didn't just put it on my TBR shelf mainly because I saw it on Reese Witherspoon's bookclub September read. It was one of the best books I've read this year, and reminded me some of Kristen Hannah's The Great Alone.
