পাখির কাজই হলো উড়াউড়ি করা। কোনো পাখিই বসে থাকে না । তাহলে উড়ালপঙ্খি ব্যাপারটা কী ? পাখি মানেই তো উড়ালপাখি ।হুমায়ূন আহমেদ তাঁর এই উপন্যাসে অন্য এক ধরনের পাখির কথা বলেছেন। এই পাখির উড়ার ক্ষমতা নেই । এই পাখির বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম হোমোসেপিয়ানস্—মানুষ ।আমাদের চারপাশের পাখিরা মাঝেমধ্যে গাছের ডালে বিশ্রাম নেয়। ভরদুপুরে ক্লান্ত হয়ে বসে ছাদের কার্নিশে। আর কী আশ্চর্য, পাখাবিহীন মানবপক্ষি সারাক্ষণই উড়ছে। কারণ সে উড়ালপঙ্খি ।
Such an incredibly complex story! I had to buy it because there was a waiting list of 30+ at the local library for this book. Thrilled that I made the purchase
I read this book shortly after I got it and didn't just put it on my TBR shelf mainly because I saw it on Reese Witherspoon's bookclub September read. It was one of the best books I've read this year, and reminded me some of Kristen Hannah's The Great Alone.
