The book contains translations of some 66 songs of Tagore under majore themes. A chapter has been devoted to discussing and presentiong the poet’s profound sense of identijty with mature as expressed in his songs on nature and its individual seasons. The book also presents selections of paintings of a group of artists who have joined in a companion project to do paintings on songs  of their choice from those presented in this book and have presented them in an exhibition at Dhaka in August 1999.

  • Amazing Story! You will LOVE it

Such an incredibly complex story! I had to buy it because there was a waiting list of 30+ at the local library for this book. Thrilled that I made the purchase

  • I read this book short...

I read this book shortly after I got it and didn't just put it on my TBR shelf mainly because I saw it on Reese Witherspoon's bookclub September read. It was one of the best books I've read this year, and reminded me some of Kristen Hannah's The Great Alone.
