আত্মপ্রচারবিমুখ ও প্রায় নীরব কর্মী-সংগঠক এই অসাধারণ মানুষটির জীবন সম্বন্ধে আমরা আজ পর্যন্ত খুব অল্পই জানি। সেদিক থেকে এই ডায়েরিগুলোর মূল্য অপরিসীম। বদরুদ্দীন উমরের ভাষা আন্দোলন বিষয়ে গবেষণা ও রচনায় তাজউদ্দীন আহমদের ডায়েরি থেকে মূল্যবান তথ্যাদি ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে। এই ডায়েরি সে সময়ের এক অসাধারণ দলিল। এর ঐতিহাসিক মূল্য অপরিসীম। জাতিকে যে দৃঢ় নেতৃত্ব এ মানুষটি পরবর্তীকালে দিয়েছেন, তার ভিত্তি কীভাবে তৈরি হয়েছিল, তরুণ বয়সে লেখা এই দিনলিপিগুলো তারই সাক্ষ্য দেয়।
Such an incredibly complex story! I had to buy it because there was a waiting list of 30+ at the local library for this book. Thrilled that I made the purchase
I read this book shortly after I got it and didn't just put it on my TBR shelf mainly because I saw it on Reese Witherspoon's bookclub September read. It was one of the best books I've read this year, and reminded me some of Kristen Hannah's The Great Alone.
