Cited by H.P. Lovecraft as 'perhaps the greatest of all Mr. Hodgson's works', The House on the Borderland tells of a deserted home in Ireland that hints at a terrifying evil. When two men encounter the enigmatic ruins of a house, they slowly uncover its secrets through the diary of its previous tenant. Accompanied by four gripping short stories, Hodgson's masterful writing leads the reader into a nightmarish world from which there may be no escape. At each turn of the page, horrors begin to unfold, monsters are revealed and new dimensions exposed.

  • Amazing Story! You will LOVE it

Such an incredibly complex story! I had to buy it because there was a waiting list of 30+ at the local library for this book. Thrilled that I made the purchase

  • I read this book short...

I read this book shortly after I got it and didn't just put it on my TBR shelf mainly because I saw it on Reese Witherspoon's bookclub September read. It was one of the best books I've read this year, and reminded me some of Kristen Hannah's The Great Alone.
